Safari Books Online LLC1 is a digital library founded in July 2001 and headquartered in Sebastopol, CA with offices in Boston, MA and San Francisco, CA. It is a joint venture between O'Reilly Media and the Pearson Technology Group.
Safari's main product is a subscription-based, digital library2 that includes books, videos, short form content ("Short Cuts"), and evolving manuscripts ("Rough Cuts") from O'Reilly Media and other publishers including Addison-Wesley, Prentice Hall, Peachpit, John Wiley & Sons3, Microsoft Press, Adobe Press, Cisco Press, Manning Publications4, Packt5, SAS Publishing, IBM Press, and FT Press.
